10 Photobooths, 1 wedding, 2 Santa’s Grottos and stuck in Oz

It’s been a while since I’ve had the time to update the Blog. Busy, busy, busy.
After getting stuck in Australia delivering the Photobooth to Nancy and Justin because of the sit in at Bangkok airport, I finally ended up back in the UK 48 hours late. Did I mention that I flew Thai Airways?…
The route back was interesting and a bit of an adventure that included a 24 stopover in Tokyo and a couple of hours in Sydney.
To business and all that has been going on since I came back from my trip to Oz. We covered eight Photobooths, two Santas’ Grottos and shot a wedding last week alone. Things have been manic, to say the least…
Last Tuesday was almost like a day off for me as we covered a function for Sony on the Silver Sturgeon boat on the River Thames. A huge, very luxurious boat that I loaded the gear onto in Wapping and we picked up the passengers at Westminster Pier. It was 4-5 hours of fun after the booth was set up and I had the opportunity to take a bunch of shots of the sites of London from the river. The crowd from Sony took a while along with a couple of drinks to warm up and then we had an hour of total mayhem.

Here is the mayhem…

Saturday we spent the daylight hours setting up two Santas Grotto camera stations in GlaxoSmithKline at Stockley Park. Wow! The whole conference centre was turned into a huge grotto with full size reindeers, tons and tons of fake snow and by the time the kids turned up on Sunday they were mesmerised. All the kids that went into see one of the Santas received an 8″ x 6″ print in a folder as they left the Grotto handed to them by one of Santa’s elves.
